About Me

I used to be a professor teaching English at a local university for nearly two decades. I mainly taught English to adult learners and was loved by my students. I’m also a certified Chinese teacher for foreign learners and have taught Chinese at adult learning agencies. I’m patient, joyful and helpful. I love Chinese culture and enjoy calligraphy, playing Guqin and making traditional Chinese food. I’m proud of local area and happy to show my guests around to appreciate the diversity of China. I can also teach guests embroidery to experience the beautiful Chinese arts and crafts.

My home is a spacious duplex apartment where guests can have the entire top floor for themselves. There’s a nice double room, study, bathroom and a sunny terrace on the top floor. The downstairs consists of kitchen, living room and dinning room as well as the family bedroom. I also have a self-contained 1 bedroom flat nearby where 2 guests can live comfortably. Both properties are well decorated and maintained.

The neighbourhood is in Yuhua District where most residents are government officials and civil servants. The area is clean and nice with a large park nearby. There’re convenience store and shops within the residential complex. If you drive 10 minutes, you’ll find two big supermarkets, shopping centre, cinema and many kinds of restaurants. There’re 5 bus routes that can take you to anywhere in the city centre.
