About Me

Hello! I am a law graduate from East China Normal University and a certified psychological counsellor. For nearly three decades, I have been a dedicated primary school teacher in Shanghai, teaching a range of subjects including Chinese, math, English, and art. My commitment to education has earned me the affection and respect of both my students and their parents.

Beyond Shanghai, I have had the privilege of teaching Chinese language courses in Australia. These courses encompass daily Chinese conversations, business Chinese, and preparation for the HSK exam. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, reliability, and understanding. I take great joy in teaching foreign learners, guiding them towards a strong language foundation and instilling in them effective learning habits.

I reside in Shanghai with my beloved husband. We often travel to Australia to visit our daughter, who is pursuing her studies there. In my leisure time, I have a penchant for sports, travel, cooking, and reading. Volunteering holds a special place in my heart. Over the years, I have organised numerous volunteer events and remain committed to giving back to the community. I eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you to Shanghai.

Description

I live in a modern high-rise in Shanghai’s Hongkou district. My apartment, renovated in 2023, has 106 square meters of space and modern appliances. I provide two guest rooms. One large with a study and a cloakroom, and one small with a desk and a wardrobe. The living room and the kitchen are stylish and cosy. Both bedrooms have full bedding sets and south-facing bay windows that offer stunning views of Shanghai’s landmarks: Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Building, Shanghai World Financial Centre and Shanghai Centre Building. There are two bathrooms in the apartment, and the building has 24-hour security and double access control.

The apartment is in a high-tech industrial zone that crosses Hongkou and Yangpu districts in northeast Shanghai. It has excellent transport connections, with over 30 bus routes, including an airport shuttle bus, and a metro station within 1km. The apartment is also close to major attractions such as “Wujiaochang” Commercial Centre, “North Bund” International Conference Centre and Hongkou Football Stadium, which are all reachable by bus in 15 minutes. Additionally, the apartment has easy access to two highways, the Inner Ring and the Central Ring, which facilitate car travel in Shanghai. The building has a coffee shop and a supermarket on the ground floor. It connects to a 4-star hotel next door on the second and third floors.
